Process Piping Design

Norwest process piping group works closely with the process designers in the preparation of the process and instrument diagrams (P & ID’s) based upon process flow diagrams (PFD’s).  This work includes sizing of lines, selection and location of valves, selection of pipe material, and sizing of process equipment, i.e. controls, pumps, tanks and pressure vessels. Upon completion of the P & ID’s complete detailed routing and installation construction drawings are prepared.  These drawings are checked for dimensional error, interferences, completeness, and compliance with the PFD’s and P & ID’s.  Flexibility, stress and flow surges analysis is performed where required, and all anchors, hangers, and other supports and designed or specified.
