Mechanical Engineering

Norwest’s mechanical engineering group is staffed with engineers and designers experienced in plant layout, machine design, and material handling systems. The use of the latest 3D modeling software aids in our piping system layout, collation detection and stress analysis.

The plant layout group begins with the basic criteria and develops an overall layout that meets these criteria in an economical and practical manner.  Norwest’s engineers work closely wit the clients representatives to make sure that all essential factors are given appropriate consideration, i.e., access and egress, maintenance, safety, code requirements, work flow, expansion requirements, etc.  Once the client approves the plant layout, it is submitted to the design staff for the preparation of construction drawings.
